Cerulean

While working and experimenting with inks, I used a marble paper technique to make patterns on paper. The inked paper and cellophene combined to give a watery, fluid effect. The color blue is said to be very tranquilizing and calming. Hence, I added beautiful origami lotuses because they too are a symbol of peace. The lights allow the viewer to see the ink patterns under the cellophene. Altogether the installation looks like a lotus pond.
